Anime and Manga watchlist for 03/08
posted by Pavel at 10:14 am 2007As some people might know I enjoy anime and manga, so I thought I’d start writing occasionally about what I’m currently watching/reading, and maybe get some recommendations to have a look at.
Girl who leaped through time

This one isn’t a series but rather an anime film, so I thought I’d include it anyway because it’s worth mentioning. The film was a really enjoyable watch, the quality is definitely up to Ghibili level. Some really pretty animation with a good story and characters. Contains a little bit of sci-fi, though it’s more romance/drama. I’m pretty sure I’ll be re watching this a few more times
. Recommended even if you are not a fan of anime.
One Piece (manga)

I think this is a rare case of a shonen manga that is progressively becoming better and better. 465 Chapters through and there is no slowing down. I wish I could go into detail on the current arc, but that will spoil it for those that aren’t following the series. I’ll just say it’s pretty wacky, and damn cool
haha. For the imagination and creativity, this one is must read.
Naruto (manga)

Unlike it’s animated counterpart the manga is pretty good. There is a few plot twist in the current chapters so the story is being kept fresh and serious (hard to believe if you have seen the anime). I recommend the manga over the anime, since the anime suffers from some pretty shocking fillers. Current chapters are worth the read and are pretty interesting
.
Well that’s all for now, I’m still trying to get myself into the habit of updating my blog. I’d love to hear some recommendations, so be sure to leave a reply if you have any. Or if you have anything else you’d like to say
