EOW 87 - Woodland Mouse House

posted by Pavel at 10:25 am 2008

Another little update, latest EOW - woodland mouse house.

EOW87 Woodland Mouse House

I had a few problems when I started, but I’m happy with the end result - especially how the house turned out. There won’t be any more EOW updates for a little bit, as a big CA wide challenge has started which I’ll be participating in (incorporating all the weekly activities !).

Enjoy! (I’ll still be updating with personal work)

Site updates, new artwork

posted by Pavel at 2:41 pm 2008

Few updates today, another new artwork and changes to the site!

This was an old wip I had lying around, that I finally had the chance to finish. Airplane design is lacking a bit because I need to do more vehicles.

Above the Bridge

You probably noticed that the site has become darker. I’ve been meaning to darken it up for a while now, and I’ve finally had the chance to do so! I’m hoping that you like the new design. Which brings me to another little feature: polls!

I’d love to hear your feedback Enjoy!

Another jungle paint study

posted by Pavel at 6:59 am 2007

Time for some art!

Jungle paint study

This is a paint study I did using a national geographic photo as reference. As you can tell I really like jungles, but this one was mainly done to study atmosphere. I find these can also help with finding new painting techniques, and of course better understanding of subject.

Jungle - paint study

posted by Pavel at 10:13 pm 2007

Have to keep my blog updated and strive to make it interesting to visit; hence forth I will be posting doodles and general stuff I do (like paint studies)! So today I’ll get the ball rolling with a jungle paint study I did. Started off with a reference photo, though I got carried away a bit. Few hours, photoshop, used ref. (click to enlarge)

I do these to study different subject matter, try new colour pallets and also test my painting techniques. Hope you like it .
