Jungle – paint study

Have to keep my blog updated and strive to make it interesting to visit; hence forth I will be posting doodles and general stuff I do (like paint studies)! So today I’ll get the ball rolling with a jungle paint study I did. Started off with a reference photo, though I got carried away a bit. Few hours, photoshop, used ref. (click to enlarge)

I do these to study different subject matter, try new colour pallets and also test my painting techniques. Hope you like it .

I have to say, that this is a magnificent work of art.

I especially love the lush, green vegetation.

Also, the time of day appeals to me.

The sunlight, the clouds and the reflection on the water enlivens the tranquility provided in nature.

I just want to jump in the water for a nice swim!

    Great job, Pavel! xD

PS: This is my wallpaper currently!
